About Me

My photo
Hi My name is Liseth and one of the things I remember most when I was growing up was watching my grandmother sew fabric into the most beautiful creations. That's where my love for sewing came from. I love to travel and learn different cultures. As well hike and spend time with loved ones. My future goal: I hope to one day go to Thailand and Bora Bora.

Take a Stand

As my mom would say what is a wedding without the cake! After doing some research, I found the perfect cake layout at the bakery's catalog, a simple cake with butterfly on a tree stand. I never knew trying to find the tree stand would be so hard, the bakery shop gave me a phone number of someone that would rent and/or sell, but funny thing he wanted to rent me the stand more than the cake purchase.....ummm no thank you! My fiance and I the next day went to look at house paint and when we passed by the plants I said "stop", I think this is the tree stand. He helped me take all the plants on display on it and there it was, way cheaper than the rental and it would be ours too keep. I put more moss on it, added some flowers, rocks...and here is my tree cake stand:

To Trip or not?

To trip or not is the question? As the wedding is nearing we are in the mist of booking our trip to Puerto Rico, though after thinking and consideration I was thinking if we should take a trip. My fiance and I have not taken any trips in a few years and thought we very well deserve one, though we also have a home with no furniture. I know that as we save more money we will get furniture we have the basics to get by, though in your opinion if you could have furniture vs a trip would you?

Cloning Please?

Do you ever feel like if there were more of you, how much you could accomplish. Currently my job is stretching me thin I'm learning and covering work in one building and when we are short staffed (all the time LOL) or the manager is leaving early I go to another building and cover there thus doing a few extra work hours after my regular shift. Meanwhile behind the scenes planning my wedding and working on my fixer upper house. I have been really tired last few weeks, though instead of complaining I'm going to be thankfully I have a job and my health. What are you thankful for?
