- Hi My name is Liseth and one of the things I remember most when I was growing up was watching my grandmother sew fabric into the most beautiful creations. That's where my love for sewing came from. I love to travel and learn different cultures. As well hike and spend time with loved ones. My future goal: I hope to one day go to Thailand and Bora Bora.

Bridal Shower
It is less than 2 months away for the wedding my Mom and maid of Honor did my bridal shower on Saturday. We had so much fun! It's amazing how a moms love will go so far, my mom took 3 days off from work to prepare for the party. She did the majority from cooking, baking, decorating, food shopping etc....The theme Hollywood glamour, my Maid of Honor was so cute and brought our version of the red carpet:

Taste Testing
Today I go with my mom and sister in law to a bridal expo at the reception site of my wedding. My mom is extremely excited as today we get to try the food, appetizer choices, cake vendors and see different flower decor. One of my favorite things about this place is the view as the restaurant sits on top a small mountain. Here are a few pictures from their website:

green please!
So the last weekend I spent my time in my backyard. My poor backyard has only small patches of grass, it has come along way, though as my dad did tell me awhile back, what this yard needs disparately is good dirt. I finally had some extra cash and I bought some extra bags of dirt and put grass seeds on the bald spots and with the rain we have had lately I'm hoping it will make my dirt into nice green grass....wish me luck.
here is a picture of what I started with, my dad was sweet to add the planters for me to grow veggies in them, I'll take a picture of how it looks now and post it next week:

Take a Stand
As my mom would say what is a wedding without the cake! After doing some research, I found the perfect cake layout at the bakery's catalog, a simple cake with butterfly on a tree stand. I never knew trying to find the tree stand would be so hard, the bakery shop gave me a phone number of someone that would rent and/or sell, but funny thing he wanted to rent me the stand more than the cake purchase.....ummm no thank you! My fiance and I the next day went to look at house paint and when we passed by the plants I said "stop", I think this is the tree stand. He helped me take all the plants on display on it and there it was, way cheaper than the rental and it would be ours too keep.
I put more moss on it, added some flowers, rocks...and here is my tree cake stand:

To Trip or not?
To trip or not is the question?
As the wedding is nearing we are in the mist of booking our trip to Puerto Rico, though after thinking and consideration I was thinking if we should take a trip. My fiance and I have not taken any trips in a few years and thought we very well deserve one, though we also have a home with no furniture. I know that as we save more money we will get furniture we have the basics to get by, though in your opinion if you could have furniture vs a trip would you?

Cloning Please?
Do you ever feel like if there were more of you, how much you could accomplish. Currently my job is stretching me thin I'm learning and covering work in one building and when we are short staffed (all the time LOL) or the manager is leaving early I go to another building and cover there thus doing a few extra work hours after my regular shift. Meanwhile behind the scenes planning my wedding and working on my fixer upper house. I have been really tired last few weeks, though instead of complaining I'm going to be thankfully I have a job and my health.
What are you thankful for?

Dress blues
What is a wedding without some fun planning and some stress right? So here is my current little dilemma, I had ordered 4 of the 5 bridesmaid dresses and let the girls know I would be dropping each of their dress as they were mailed to my parents place. One of my bridesmaid told me she was expected great, oh no her dress won't work few months down the line LOL (ok no biggie, I'll try to sell it online or something). After I gave the dress to the rest of the girls my cousin text me a few days later, ummm my dress doesn't fit...again I thought ok, plenty of time fixable. I send messages to the seller and decided they will custom make me another dress and I pay for the fees. Few days later my cousin sends me another text "I must have been super bloated or something, the dress now fits"....
Well lucky me, trying to be careful with my money and now I'm out 2 dress which I have to pay for.
If I can't sell the dresses online I was thinking maybe I can have my pregnant bridesmaid have both dresses combined to make hers or have it taken in for the other bridesmaid that hasn't order the dress??? What is your thought or suggestions?
